World Population Day 2026
On the occasion of “World Population Day – 2026”, Department of PG studies in Swasthavritta & Yoga of our Institution had organized Drawing & Painting competition for UG students and a guest lecture for II Prof BAMS and PG Scholars on 11th June 2026.
Dr. P. Sudhakar Reddy, Professor & Head, Department of PG studies in Swasthavritta welcomed the guest to the gathering.
The Guest speaker Prof. Dr. Charashekar, Senior Prof & Head, Department of Studies in Geography, University of Mysore, Karnataka, spoke on the topic: “Population Trends, Issues and Challenges in India.” He highlighted on adverse effects of Over Population and strategic steps for India in maintaining the adverse effect of population.
The drawing and painting competition was judged by the guest speaker.
Miss. Chebolu Rupasri Aahlada, won the 1st prize, 2nd prize was won by Miss. Sheetal Domale and Miss. Prathiksha, has won 3rd Prize.
A total of 100 students and PG scholars were benefitted by the event.
